Throwback Thursday – Classic Liquid D&B tracks (that got me into D&B)

Not much to say, other than you might be able to tell that I really love Hospital Records! Hope this is a bunch of epic new tracks for you, or at least very nostalgic (like they are for me). Enjoy!

Daily Satisfaction – Big Data – Clean (feat. Jamie Lidell)

Clean is the fourth track they have released from their upcoming album 2.0 and it is just waiting to be remixed. If it’s predecessor Dangerous is anything to go by then we can expect a whole slew of remixes of Clean (Dangerous was remixed by Oliver and Sebu to name just a few…)

Daily Satisfaction – Knife Party’s new album Abandon Ship has leaked

Knife Party, the progeny of Pendulum, consisting of Pendulum’s two most technically talented producers (Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen), are due to release their debut album Abandon Ship on the 24th of November.

Luckily for us it has been leaked by iTunes, which seems to be like a colander nowadays. The album is very different to what I expected, varying between Knife Party’s unique brand of hard electro, deep house (see EDM Trend Machine), and some almost Pendulum vibes (see Begin Again). Regardless of the genre, the production quality and overall song-writing are both excellent, this album is definitely worth checking out.

Satisfying Producer of the Month – TwoThirds

click ‘continue reading’ for track list.

Satisfying Sounds recently posted a track called One Look by a producer called LVTHER, after hearing it I decided to find more music by this LVTHER character only to quickly discover LVTHER is an alias of TwoThirds (real name Lewis Dransfield) , an amazing UK based EDM producer. After giving all his stuff a listen and loving it, I had to post TwoThirds as November’s Satisfying Producer of the Month. Hope you enjoy the MiniMix I made for this post as well.

At only 21 years old Dransfield has shown a proficiency in an large variety of genres and sounds (hopefully evidenced by the mix). With LVTHER showing us a more electro style sound, adding to an already impressive catologue of tracks which range from Ambient Electronica to liquid Drum & Bass I for one am very excited to hear what this talented individual will put out next no matter which name it’s under.

Daily Satisfaction – LVTHER releases Electropop track One Look

Just stumbled upon this track, loved it, and had no idea who LVTHER was. Turns out it was with good reason as this is the first release by TwoThirds (a UK Drum & Bass artist) under the alias LVTHER. Fun, catchy and well produced, One Look is a brilliant first step away from Liquid D&B; I’m looking forward to more tracks from TwoThirds and/or LVTHER. Enjoy!

Daily Satisfaction – Mat Zo makes a cocophany of sound a good thing in Ruffneck Badboy

Mat Zo released yesterday Ruffneck Badboy, which is completely mental. I’d like to say its a departure from his style, but by this point who can say what Zo’s style is?? Well regardless this track manages to mesh styles and musical origins that have no place together and make it sound cool (such as Middle Eastern alongside a Zedd like electronic piano intro); it’s almost like Zo has become impatient and decided not to wait until his next track to change tones. Enjoy!
